The attached photo shows my dad, Richard (Dickie) Holland on the left. There is a name on the back of the photo which says 'Danny'. I'm guessing the year at sometime in the 50s or early 60s. I don't recognize the club though, but he was a member of Goose Green Labour Club for many years.

Can anyone fill in the gaps please?

Susan; I think the club is the west ward.
I'm sure some one from pem will confirm.

That would make sense, because my dad (Richard) lived in Pemberton in 1955, he lived at 50 Avon Road. Thanks guys, keep the information coming x

Not sure if they would have ever let anyone in the West Ward wearing a white "panama" hat, The Macfarlanes would have hung drawn and quartered him !

Is it not Pemberton Central in Enfield Street? Looking at the windows makes me think it could be there and not The Wild West.

Check out the photograph posted above this one, it might give some more clues as to where this might be and who the others are.

I have no idea who these people are, but looking at the windows, they seem like church windows, which makes me think it was an old church that became a club.
