RG You aremost likely correct. I know Pauline's family went to the IOM regulary with maggie.

I think we stayed at Mrs Rooney's. The family seemed to know her well. Was this were Pauline stayed? I can't remember a lot but it would be in the late 40's when we went.
Then again John this could just be the White Lion.

Yes when Pauline went with Maggie they stayed at Mrs Roonies. When they went as a family they stayed at Douglas Holiday Camp. Pauline isn't certain where the picture was taken but yes it could well be the White Lion and Railway but she seems to think it was on holiday some where.

Dick Forshaw was my grandad, my Dad was Frank Dick ( or Richards) son.

My Dad was Frank Forshaw, Dick Forshaw's son..
we lived at number 12 Newman Street Welley Wigan back in the 1960 to mid 70’s..
