My Auntie Dorothy and Uncle Tommy!!
Dorothy (Holland)was my dads elder sister - Her sister Joan and brother Freddie are still alive, sadly other bothers Ernie & Tommy are long gone
Only went to visit Dorothy & Tommy, who now live in Marleybone, On Sunday - both are well and I know will be made up with this photo when I show it them - thanks John

Hi Scholes Malc, Dorothy and Tommy lived near the corner of Stanley St and Caunce Road I seem to remember. I played with there son Barry although he was is bit younger than me. Wasn't there a shop on the corner? What was it, do you remember? Next door to Dorothy and Tommy lived mum Doreen's Aunty Nellie Ellison back to back in Golborne St with my Grandma Florence Critchley my mum's mother. I lived there for seven years with Mum and Dad and Grandma and Granddad. Mum and Dad used to see Dorothy and Tommy in Wigan most weeks. Mum and Dad are no longer living but I see Dorothy and Tommy occasionally in Wigan and have a chat. It would be nice to hear from Barry as well as I haven't seen him for many years.

Please tell them when you see them how smart they look. My husband and I go to the 1940s events and I am really jealous of those outfits!

John/Alan
The shop was ‘Freddies’ on Caunce Road. He always had a smart car. On the other corners of Caunce Road/Stanley Street were the Penmans and opposite was my Auntie Hannah
Jacobs
Cousin Barry is semi-retired and lives up Standish
