Doreen Critchley of Golborne St, Scholes married Alan Hankin of Mint Cottage, Mint Court, Scholes in June 1947. The wedding took place at St Catharine's Church Scholes with the reception held at St Georges Church Hall, Church St, Wigan. They lived with mum's parents, Florence and Jack, in Golborne St, Scholes until 1955 when we moved to Scholefield Lane when I was seven.

Ellen, thanks for your observation. Yes they were very much alike, in temperament as well.
