Spent many happy hours as a child playing over the big fields and the IB {iron bridge} as we then knew it.

Dave see the comments on page one 'Bill and Gladys'The railway bridge in the background led to the bridge 'was''is 'leading to the bridge in Walthew Lane?.The fields were then later taken over by building works approx 1958. Many many hours spent playing on those fields.Watching the trains go by.

Dave its a foot bridge over the railway lines.

We used to play on the old Iron bridge, loved it. Once, we were there & there was the guards van of a goods train nearby. The chimney was tempting, & we did not resist, but began to through pebbles etc. down it. The guard came rushing out, recognised me & told my Dad (who was a goods guard). I was in real trouble. Please, what happened to Billy? at this time, we were in the same class at St. Nats?
