An unusual sight getting sunburned in Blackpool. Mum Doreen and Dad Alan Hankin enjoying a spot of sun in front of the boarding house in the mid 1950s. We, like many Wiganners went to Blackpool for our summer holidays during the wakes weeks. I remember travelling there on the train and also on coaches. Not many folk could afford to run a car in those days.
