Thomas are you related to Joe O'Brien who lived in McCormack Street, his mother's maiden name was Ellen Walsh.

Maggie K, the only thing I can tell you about Bill Lowe is that he kept a Public House in Morris Street for many years. It would be inserting to hear if this is the Bill Lowe your inquiring after?,

Fletcher, as I said on the Mc Cormick Street photograph , my Great Grandmother maiden name was O'Brien.I mentioned your cousin to my sister who remembers him very well her name was Margaret Walsh ,she married Joe's best friend John Bennett R.I.P.My sister tells me recalls the day he emigrated he past our house , with his wife and his two children on the way to the station,she asks if you would pass on her best wishes.

if i'm not mistaken joe emigrated on the same day wigan played hunslet at wembley. i worked with joe at westwood power station til 1966.

Hi Tom, sorry I haven't looked on the other photo I posted. Joe is my brother in law and he married my sister Eileen (RiP) and Brian, yes they did emigrate when Wigan were at Wembley. I am trying to do his family tree and he is very interested with anyone who has the name Walsh. I speak to him every week, so if anyone has information for him I know he would be delighted to hear from you.

Hi Tom I was a Walsh before I married my dad was David Walsh his dad was David n my grandma was Hilda x
