Hi Eric my Grandparents lived at Viaduct Row,last terrace house before what was Parks Forge.their name was Unsworth.Grandad Tom was, in later life Watchman at Ince Council yard.

hello tom been talking to my brother he knew them very well tom and polly i remember polly .wher they dereks mam and dad.if so my brother used to mate with derek .i think his brother lived at no4 bill and annie unsworth thier kids billy,lilian,joey and mary. my brother says in the old days everyone had a nickname dont know why but your grandads was duck coat, maybe he kept ducks iasked him did he know any more he will think about it have you seen his photo on here heis 83 now. nice talking to you tom lol eric

Hi Eric i think Mary was Grans.name, i only knew her as Grandma.Aunt Polly Bamber lived with them at the time,with her daughter Irene, my cousin. Derek Unsworth used to sing in the clubs aka Don Westlake. Uncle Joe lived in Sephton ST,and Uncle Bill in Viaduct Row.

eric where was viaduct row was it anywhere near canal st at ince station.

tony. canal st was on the right fork as you go over the bridge heading to what now is william fosters there used to be arow of houses faceingthe main road .viaducts you took the left fork to the end then turnedleft again under the railway bridge as your heading to parks forge all all this is going down ince green lane but not over the bridge lol eric

thanks eric for the info the quinn family edward & margaret my grandparents and their kids thomas & sarah my mam use to live at 188 ince green lane opposite the viaduct on the corner of canal st apparently at one time the canal use to run under the viaduct maybe thats where canal st got its name from.in the 1920s i will bet the quinns knew the lowes at one time.

my father told me he usedto dive intothe water where it ran under the bridge on ince geen lanethe first house asthe water went under therailway was florrie burns on the left and i believeit once was apub i remember reading over the door licensed to sell beer and spirits but i cant find a name

Im doing my family tree and I think one of my great great aunts lived in a place called 'viaduct houses'. Is this the same place as viaduct row??

yes nicola it had a few names the viaducts,viaducts,viaducts row and the ducts whats the family your trying to trace ,my brother is 83 he live there from being born in 1928 he may know who your looking for lots of luck eric
