Serving in WW2, Granddad and Grandma May lived at Mint Cottage in Mint Court just off Scholes until Scholes was demolished and spoiled for ever. I played in the cottage grounds as a young lad and Granddad kept pigs, a horse and chickens. He made a mean root beer too. Great days those were.
