hello John i know that we are cousins but i dont recall meeting up with you even though we went to the same school and i was always at my aunty Mays and uncle Ernies. Alan Hankin was my mentor and got me my first job from school as an apprentice joiner at Jack Almonds and that started my long career in the building industry which took me half way around the world and back. Alan was a stalwart of a man and larger than life one of the good guys. p.s sorry to hear about your mother Doreen

Hi Roy, was Aunty Edna Thompson your mum and is your name Royston? I remember visiting Aunty Edna's house many times, usually on Christmas Day with my Dad whilst visiting Grandma May who lived with Aunty Lillian and Uncle Ernie in Hunter Road Marsh Green. I am sure you were there on some of the occasions. Nice to hear from you. Used to have great times at Mint Cottage in the fifties and early sixties. It was like an adventure playground.
