Hi Christine my uncle my mums brother in the photo, is the son of Annie and Henry Walker ,who owned Landlords Farm in Dicconson Lane along with Henry's sister Mary Hough ,which was sold and is now a horse riding school .
John lived in Bolton Road with his wife Lilian near the Spar shop ,sadly all mentioned are no longer with us.I don't think were related but you never know.

Hi Christine my mum was Ellen Collier her mother was Alice nee Walker, her brother was named John, I remember visiting Aunty Ginny, her mother lied at 260 Bolton Road (Aunty Nellie), I am trying to unravel family history and there are so many Walkers! I believe my great great grandfather was named John too. Are you related to my Nana Collier's cousin Jane Ormrod from Hindley she used to make walking day dresses for us and I recall she had grand-daughters Christine and Mandy.
