Now that's what I call, a real cosy home.
It's lovely, Caroline, and so typical of the time. We always pronouced it "Lowminster Place", and it is only in recent years that I have learned it is pronounced "Lemster"....in fact I still think of it as "Lowminster Place" and probably alwats will!
Marvellous
Your brother looks very surprised to be having his photo taken, Irene I always pronounced it Leo-minster, same with Belvoir St at Scholes it was only until my twenties I learned it was pronounced Beaver. LOL.
Caroline you must have been posh we had a tin bath
Brings back memories tiled firplace and the companion set
i have still got one of them fireplaces
Plastic bath - very modern !
You can't beat the old tin ones.
The tiled fireplace and the built in drawers at the side are very nostalgic, ours had a cupboard above.
I think we all had a tin bath Mum put a brick under one end so I could sit in the shallow end and my big brother was in the deep end a friend I had up Belle green lane told me his brother always peed in the tin bath...........sometimes before he got in it.......... I suppose it saved a walk down the backs
