I thought mother and daughter but in those days ,with the very large families of the time, the last child in a family could be considerably younger than the eldest.
Is there a faint image of someone looking through the window at the back of the picture? I love these old photos. Would love to know who they are and where it was taken.

just been looking at your photo. Its marvellous.Its nice to visit places we knew when we were young but these days I hardly get chance. Thank Heavens for the pics on Wigan World
