This photo was, I believe, of the RAFA Rugby League Club. I think they played at Cale Lane, New Springs.
Taken on the canal bridge near Top Lock, (Kirkless Pub in background ?).
My father, Jack Cockrell, is front row, second from the left, next to his friend Gerry in the dark coat.Len Gorner front middle, kneeling, and Roy Orrell,(ex policeman), second from the right back row.
Anyone know any of the others ?
