I printed off a copy of this to take to Bill johnson, who's having another spell in hospital unfortunately. He was delighted to see his mum and dad, Lizzie (Kearsley) and Bill. They lived in Kays Houses - he says the Cusicks lived in Preston Street, and he used to meet up with Matt Cusick in town before his series of illnesses. He can't identify the chap in the middle... but thinks he knows someone who can.
Hello Reverend Long.I am sorry to hear about Bill.my nieces maureen and iris ask me to ask you if you will tell bill they send their regards along with mine.since they married Peter and my sister lived on warrington rd 0pposite Britannia bridge school. Peters mum and dad lived on preston street I do hope he gets well soon.
I printed this off in our parish magazine this month (duly acknowledged, of course). Someone who has the same photo says it was taken on a Labour Club outing to Rhyl, perhaps in a pub called The Ferry. If I remember right, there used to be a pub of that name near the blue swing bridge on the old road over the Dee at Queensferry, which chara trips used to call in at en route to North Wales.
Hello Reverend Long.I am sorry it was my mistake. My niece has confirmed it was taken in the ferry pub on a trip to wales. Please accept my apologies.
