my brother billy perry and friends taken either late 40s or early fifties.On the corner of victoria st wallgate.Iam afraid ican,tremember any of the lads names.maybe someone might recognize them i hope.

Can't help you with the lads but can anyone tell me if there was a Princess Street in Wallgate or nearby ?

Helen,Princess Street was the one next to Queen Street,I'm almost sure of that...if I'm wrong we have the Alan Godfrey maps and would find it on there,but as I say sure that's where it is.

As Maureen says,Princess St. was next to Queen St. but off Chapel Lane.

You both say 'was' so does that mean the street is no longer there ?

Helen, been down the Street this morning..yes it's still there but changed somewhat,it is as I said between Queen Street and Caroline Street but there is no entrance to it from the Chapel lane end to go by car,only steps...go up Queen Street past Livesey's and take the first turning on your right..then the first on your left is Princess Street.
