This is lovely! I lived in Ince but had relatives in Lower Ince and Spring View, and this brings back lovely warm memories of the neighbourliness then, when we were all in the same boat.

How well you know me, Maureen! Did you live in Ince? Not sure if you've said.

No Irene,I came from Wallgate but I've noticed that you love Ince every bit as much as I love Wallgate...I think we're both bitten with the nostalgia bug.Happy memories eh?.I always enjoy your postings anyway.

Heres a long shot. Given how long ago this photo was, dont know if anyone would know anything, but.. my grandfather's sister had a son who died of diabetes in Ince in 1942 I think it was. He died at age 15 and his name was John Lewis Ratcliffe. Anyway, I have the death Cert.and his death was at Ince but dont know why he was in Ince when he died, and not aware of where in Ince he was. Maybe an infirmary? His father is listed on the death Cert as Wilfrid Ratcliffe, Wilfrid had died in 1937 and was listed as a foundry worker. Johns mother was put in Winwick Asylum.

Hiya Bumper. The day after i answered you our maureen rang and I asked her about Parliament St.she said it was across the road from them near the school. She also said the only Davies she remembers she thought lived on Preston St.they had a son called Graham I wondered if they might be relatives of yours.
