Hi Patrick, did Thomas have Unsworth relatives, e.g. a brother who lived in Gathurst Road, by any chance?

He had 2 brothers and 4 sisters. George - died in ww2, William, Ann, Elizabeth, Sarah and Jane. Not sure were they all lived though.

Thanks Patrick. I was interested because my "best man", Malcolm Unsworth, his parents lived in Gathurst Road and Malcolm's father would have been about the same age as Thomas. I think he was called Bill but can't be sure, it was the 1960's.

I know that William married Mary Martha Seddon and they lived in Scholes in the 90's. William was known as Billy and he was born in 1915.

My father was Bill Unsworth who married Joan Taylor. My Dads parents were Harold and Margaret. We lived on Gathurst Lane and my father died in 1990 aged 70. Some older ones might remember my Dad being dance band leader of The Empress Orchestra.Hope this helps
