John Sandiford was born in Bury in 1850. His parents were John Sandiford and Fanny Fletcher.His mother died when he was a child and he was brought up by his Grandmother, Hannah Fletcher at 106 Wallgate Wigan. He was a Woollen Draper/Clothier. He died 25/2/1886 at Park Crescent Wigan of consumption. He is buried at Wigan Cemetery and his grave is still standing.

Jim I have Sandiford's in my family tree, just wondering how far back you have gone with your research on them, my connection is with John Sandiford baptized 1738 St Mary's Bury, married Alice Street 1759. My connection is through their daughter Dinah b1781. They did have a son John b1764, but I haven't followed that through just wondering if this John could be connected.
