Wonderful...perfectly captures the time. I have a book of photos of Blackpool in the 60s and they are so similar to this.

this is Jean in the middle there, we had some great hols in blackpool in those days. never any trouble all good fun, and look at the height of that hair,WOW, loved it

young girls today may think this pic is old fashiond,well to them it probably is but look at the hairstyles they have now they all have beehives theres a special thing you can get called a bumperdini to lift your hair ,we just did old fashioned backcombing couldent comb it out though ha ha it all comes around again,

Yay, happy days of using Bel-air hair spray, it was one of the strongest (and smelliest and cheapest!!! ) brands around at that time.Josie you're right the backcombing was horrific to comb/brush out but it was well worth it. This is a great pic, the 60's were great times, i'm certainly glad to have been around in those days.

yes jean it is joan from norley. i don't if you know but sadly joan died last year.it was so sad.her sister linda died about 18months before, and her mother died soon after joan, so sad.
