Yes Josie you are on the right track John Gray stood at back on the left was my grandad he joined the Lancashire Fusilers aged 15 (naughty) I have a photo of me at the same age...we look like twins.....

Yes Josie They are my dad's family my grandad &grandma who died before I was born but I knew all the others they were very good to us when we were left without mum & dad Doreen

Hello Everyone, I am David Gray dob 270747 and my first home in 1947 was 31 Market St, Standish. My mother Margaret dob 01 11 1908 worked at the Bleachworks. I have been researching my family tree and am stuck as I cannot find my great grandfather's birth certificate. He was james Gray, dob c. 1850, son of Edward. Your photo is very interesting and the tall Sam bears a remarkable resemblance to my late son Mark. My great nephew is also called Sam and he is about 18 and about 6' 6" tall. Should anyone have any useful info about the Gray family I would be grateful if you could contact me on the email address above.
