My grandad, William Howe, outside his house in Worsley Mesnes, not sure of the year, early seventies I think.

Like the armbands.. my Dad always wore these too, I borrowed them on occasions when my shirt sleeves were too long
Thanks for that Bill, he really was a gentleman. Everytime I smell a pipe (not that often nowdays), I think of Grandad.

This made me cry and smile at the same time. It seems like yesterday when I used to go and see my grandad.
My grand-dad, who looked after me every day whilst my mum was with my gran, and Matthew was at school. Sadly taken away from us when I was about 5 years old. I loved him more that my young heart could understand, and I still miss him daily. God bless you grand-dad.
