A good photo, you see very few views of railway staff out "lamping" ie tending the the paraffin lamps in use at the time. Any idea where the photo was takne Rob? Cheers, Dave

Im not hundred percent but it could be Balshaw lane and Euxton I have other photos showing him at that station

Could just be at Euxton & Balshaw lane Stn..... looking north with the original footbridge from Euxton village crossing in the distance. The view presumably, taken from the Balshaw Lane overbridge. One needs a reasonably good head for heights on that game, that signalpost must be around 50 feet high. Not quite in the Dibnah class perhaps but high enough on a windy day!!
