James Christopher , Wife Amelia(nee Swift)born 20/09/1870 3 Lathams Yard off Millgate,son Gerald born 03/10/1896 Blackburn and daughter Kathleen born 22/07/1898 4 Park Road Wigan.Born at Dungarvan, County Wexford, James Christopher came to Wigan in 1898 to open a branch of Messr Christopher Bros, Lancashire tea merchants. Premises opened in Millgate,and in 1904 moved to Dorning Street,and then to 18 Queen Street, Wigan.
