Kathryn, how old is the photo? the car looks like a mk1 Hillman Minx from the 1950s? Good photo of your dad.

Hi Colin. Yes you are spot on. The photo was taken around 1966/67. He bought it at scrap value and did it up to its former glory. He even remembers the reg no, PXK665.

We owned a red/white Hillman Super Minx station wagon = bought it new in 1963. Thank you sharing this photo!

Hello Kathryn, Your father Derek has done an excellent job to restore this old Hillman, it looks almost new, it must have been his pride and joy. My late father had an old 1958 Hillman Husky, I have no photos of it, but can remember the reg, 279NHX. The good old days, thanks for sharing it.
