Mum and Dad,I don't know the date or occassion,but I think it was about 1959/60ish, again would appreciate more information if anyone could help out thanks. P.S.My Father came from Lower Ince,he had two sisters Doreen and Clarice.My Father worked down the pit,but I don't know what job he did down there ,or which pit or pits he wotked at.

Was Alice anything to do with the Griffiths from Bamfurlong?

Thankyou for these pics, Christine.I remember Aunty Alice and Uncle George from around this time.I am in touch with my "babies class" (as we used to say) teacher from Ince Central School, and she remembers Uncle George; she lived in Westwood Terrace and the Parkinsons lived nearby. She was Miss Ashurt when she taught me, but got married shortly after and became Mrs. Johnson. After Ince Central, she taught at Britannia Bridge.Aunty Alice looks very much like her sisters in this photo.I have printed them off and am so pleased to have them.....Thankyou!

Hello Jackie. Your Mum was my coiusin. I used to see her in Hindley Tesco and we always had a little chat. She was a lovely lady.
