A Christmas far from home, the Bradshaws in India, my Mother Agnes, Dad Billy & my sister Anne aged 5yrs. The garlands were made of orange marigolds & smelt lovely.

I thought you were in Hawaii when I first looked at the photo! Why were you in India if you don't mind me asking? Lovely photo.

Catherine go to people in album & click on The Bradshaw family. There is an old newspaper cutting from the Observer that tells you why my family were in India. My brother & I were born in India, my sister Anne was born in Swinley Rd, Wigan. I was just a year old when the above photo was taken. I had been home to Wigan twice before 1947
when we returned for good, India having gained independence.
Most of the families that we knew in India were in the weaving industry & all were from the north of England.
