Hi Dean,Is this the same Buchanan rd.near wosley hall newtown.If so I used to live at No.33 from about 1948-1952,at that time the houses were Prefabs errected after the war to ease the housing shortage.If this is the same rd. I'll upload a photo. cheers.

Would be really interesting to see your photo. This is the same Buchanan Road in Worsley Hall, my family moved there in the early sixties when they replaced the prefabs with the sunshine houses. I had relatives who lived in the prefabs on fraiser road, their surname was Hibbs/Varey

Hi Dean must have known your family but can't recall them.
My mum and dad lived in Buchanan Rd,first in the houses then in the bungalows opposite your photo.We visited them very often when over from Australia.(Bob and Jenny Caunce were my mum and dad)

Lovely to here from you. Yes I remember you mum and dad. your dad was very friendly with my grandad Bill Foster who lived at number 15

My Mother (Hetty Allison) was Annie Varey's best friend during the 50's when we lived in the prefabs.
