My Auntie Annie (nee Griffiths) and Uncle Matt Catterall, probably taken in the 1940s. They lived in Hindley.

Did they have a daughter called Edna Catterall and did they live at the end of Smithwood Avenue?

Yes they did; Edna sadly died some years ago.

Not sure about that, didn't really know her until later life but I know she had problems in her life. A lovely lady.

Thing iis is my Grandma and Grandad they ended their lives liveing in Hereford road on Castle Hill

Edna did have kids two boys,im one of them the other my brother Karl,sadly she died in 2005, we both joined the Army in the early eighties, my brother served about five years i served 24yrs I now live back in Hindley.

I wonder if Matt is related to my Catteralls from Ince? They are a good looking couple Irene. You also have a look of your auntie. It's fascinating how 'looks' run in families.
