It's interesting to see your grandad wearing a dress in this picture Dean, although he has a proper little lad's face!
I have a picture of my great grandfather aged about three and he is also wearing a dress. I can't put it on Wigan World because we was born and lived all his life in Hull.

Thank you for your comment. It seemed quite normal to dress many young children in these types of clothes. A lot of people associate this with hand me down clothes and not be able to afford new ones but my grandfathers family where quite well off for the time and not short of money
