Workmates? A church group? Most have signed the back and the photo is dated to 27 June 1945 (so the photo was taken some short time before). Names are: Mary Cochrane (who married Leslie E. Ballam at Newton in 1950); Dora Blackburn; V. Mote; Lilian Coburn; Olive Johnson (married William Parker at Wigan in 1948); Marjorie Moorhouse; W. Tatlock; A. Castree; Myra I. Wilkes; E. (= Elsie?) Spencer (who married Joseph Gorse at Tyldesley in 1946?). Not named, but on the photo, back row, at our extreme right, is my mum, Mary Pennington.
