This photo shows how busy Leyland Green Road was!That's why we used to play in the road so much when we were kids.Anybody recognise the make of car or the shops in the distance?

The terrace in the background where I was born.From the right Sudworths shop, then Mrs. Flannerys, then ours, then Bertha Woods and finally the chippy.

Thanks again Susan.Those names and those shops bring it all flooding back again-do you remember the threepenny and fourpenny mixes at the chippy?Was there also a tuppeny mix?Very convenient for you when you lived two doors away!
