This was the front garden of the farm on Downall Green Road that you could walk through to Wigan Road upto 1957
I walked through here many many times on the way home from my Grandparents. I would get off the bus at the top of Rose Hill walk through to Downall Green Rd to get the bus home to Downall Green.
Myself and malc cunliffe would cut through to catch a bus at rose hill remember dougie

That's Jack alker and his Mother and Father, we used to play in the fields behind Park Street on Rose Hill, Jack chased us many a time.
Remember this well. Often used to get off the Wigan bus at Rose Hill and cut through to my grandparents on Downall Green Rd. I wonder whatever happened to the huge stone slabs that made the wall that you can see to the side of the family?
Just thinking -- looking across to the bend in the road -- do you remember 'Pop Morgan's'?
Any of you remember the fair coming on the field next to the farm in the 50s

My Dad was born in that street,7 kids and parents lived in one little terrace.I also used to walk thro to bus stop on Wigan rd from Downall Green Road.6d into Wigan. Pop Morgans, yes, Billy and Joan, the grandchildren were friends of me and my sister Pam.

Yes this is now the top of Dryden Avenue I was born at 133 and our pop works was 113 Downall Green Road the best memories.
