Used to walk from the village to this school every morning in the 50's and very early 60's and then back home at night. All my family have been baptised, married and buried at Parbold Church

Went to this school from 1950 to 1958 when it closed as a senior school and all the pupils over 11 years of age were transfered to Shvington secondary modern.Miss Alty was headmistress, other teachers mrs Ward, there was a male teacher as well but cannot remember his name,he died from cancer.when miss Alty retired in about 1957 Mr Hughes became headmaster. It must have been a good school because three of the first four headboys at Shevington sec mod where from this school

Hello Sandra. I think you may have known my mum's family. Doris and Cecil Brown, my mum Audrey and her sister Joan. They lived at Fairhurst Farm on the way up to Hilldale. Mum is eighty five now and still going strong!
