I remember it well. We all chucked in and Barry Pilling rode his bike off the path at full speed into the lodge, for 1.3d IIRC.
THAT LODGE BELONGED TO ONE OF THE MINES AND IT WAS BRICKED LINED ALL THE WAY AROUND

Wow!! this doesn`t half bring back some memories.. We used to go to these waters as kids but we in Stubshie called it the Valley....I walk over that water when I go to the Three Sisters and it is fantastic to see it as it was before they filled it in. It was Magic...
