This is where my grandad William Pimblett was brought up and met my Nana Ellen who was 'in service' there.

Would they be related to the Pimblett’s that had the farm near Abram Park?

You are right Ron, Winnie is akways spot on. Perhaps Winnie could help Dave Bell in Canada asking for Wigan family history help on Guestbook.

I used to know a member of the Pimblett family although I haven't seen him for a long time. He lived near Abram Park where I used to walk our dogs; I got to know a lot of people due to walking the dogs daily when we had them. I rarely go down the end of Abram where Abram Hall stands. Winnie;s findings are always fascinating.

Irene, I think that would be John Pimblett. His parents had a farm just to the back of his bungalow. There used to be a path from Abram Park down to Bickershaw Lane and the farm was alongside that.
