I remember going here from school for a special occasion, (speech day, I think it was), in the mid-1960s. It was very impressive inside. I remember the school choir sounded wonderful, (I wasn't a member, having a voice like two cracked plates!)

Daniel, I never get tired of seeing photos of the interior of The Queens Hall and just wish it was still there today. Wigan is sadly lacking in such a venue.
I am sure the seating was made in Barn Lane Golborne by CR Harrisons. The chair model as I recall was called 'The Dreadnought'. Cast iron stanchions, solid beech timber framed seat and back and an element of padded upholstery.
