Are you sure these photos are from the Post and Chronicle they only started the paper in 1965, and the picture quality wasn't that clear, the post pictures were always foggy/white mist.

The problem was the post and chronicle was poor quality and not just photos. These could be Wigan OBBY , Wigan's top newspaper for printing quality.

Don't know the lads but does anyone know what the brick structure is they're sat on ?. It looks like it could be part of the railway tunnel behind Lodge Gates.
