Every Saturday morning I would be there..with the children...absolutely loved it.

yes i remember it well . spent a lot of time there .

I remember a gang of us going from work when it first opened.
It must be one of the ‘newest’ buildings to be demolished in Wigan, aside from the new library building at the top of Millgate.

Never out of there in the mid to late 60s

I too did like going there, but my eyes didn't like the chlorine and other chemicals put in the water, they in fact had later become so sensitised that if I even walked along College Avenue to go into the library and the extractor fan was blowing my eyes would begin stinging and watering.

The man front centre reminds me of the singer Gregory Porter as it's probably just his hairstyle, but it does look like he's forgotten to take off his peaked cap.
