What a shame someone has spoilt the image by putting www.wiganworld.co.uk across it

Phil I don't mind the Wiganworld Copywrite Watermark if it stops the photos and images being pirated and copied by folks on other Wigan memorabilia websites.

Cyril, what difference does it make to you if the photos are copied into other sites? Nothing is original, all the photos on Wiganworld have been copied from somewhere else.

Phil, it doesn't make one iota of difference to me at all if the photos are copied onto other sites, though it would especially matter to Ron and others who have paid for these original postcards, photographs and ephemera to put onto wiganworld. Andrew has stated previously, take a copy by all means, but if posting elsewhere it is decency to mention the source from where it came and the original poster or researcher, but these other sites never do. Other folks too have also mentioned about the other sites of being quick off the mark in putting the original photos etc., copied from off wiganworld onto their sites. So yes, I agree that if Ron wants to put a watermark on the photos etc., then that should be his prerogative and no one else's.

Cyril Spot on. I do know that Ron has put a lot of images on the site from his own collection of postcards. That he has purchased over the years, some for considerable amounts of money.
I have seen recently, that someone is taking images from this site and is selling them on Ebay.
