Looking like Christmas. Todays lights and a poor excuse for a tree. Shame on you Wigan Council.

Gibo, you may think Wigan has a poor take on a Christmas Tree....take a look at the dire effort in Cromer, Norfolk....I'm speechless. Give me a big sherry Garry !

Wigan seemed a magical place then. Its lost its sparkle, as well as shops!!

I have commented on another picture about Market Place - I still believe the elevated area on the left where the tree is stood looked much better then than it does now.

The seating area they have on Market Place now is just shoddy and bland. The whole of the town centre is now looking in a rather sorry state which I cannot see improving any time soon.

There is an urgency to modernise to keep up with progress , yet Wigan had all it needed , it worked ! The way it was would have attracted people and business to Wigan , now , even Wigganers
are shopping elsewhere . What’s that saying ‘ if it ain’t broke ...
