My thanks to Irene, Mick and Gio'. Couldn't leave out the pole and its guiding cable, Mick. And, as the speed limit had given me the first inkling of how wide the track really is, I just had to have it there.

Philip has painted the subject 'as seen', not as Mick would have liked. Mick, I wouldn't trust you painting a blank wall.

Mick, you can't erase things you don't like in this world or in a painting.
I like it very much just as it is, I would hang it on any of my house walls & look at it every day....

Jonno it is just a genuine honest comment, by commenting in this way it show that I have actually had a proper look and studied Philips painting

surely the colours depend on what time of day it was painted, whether the sun was out, was it a bright day or a dull day and what season it was when painted.

The gifts of all types of artt, whether it be painting, music, sculpture etc, are to be cherished.

Like Bere Heath, to Gallows Hill far,
a timeless captured with brush and a jar,
a swish of the paint a stroke of the brush,
a gaze into distance a calm without fuss.
The noise overhead is not meant for me,
just birds in a squabble as far as I can see,
the breeze it is simple, not cold to upset,
my painting comes on , but not finished...yet..
Now for a coffee, my flask an old mate,
the signpost says movement, but for now it can wait..

Your poem is very good FW, and it's in a fitting, darting 'dib-dab' metre - a red dib here and a blue dab there, if you like. Albert's right, too.
