What is the brick structure on the left?

The brick building is an easy one..it's an old PIT SHAFT.

AP, the old brick structure was what was left of the Albion Iron Works engine house.

NCB shaft building.

It predates the creation of the NCB - but I think they probably ended up owning it post-Nationalisation - it is part of the Albion Ironworks - which had their own loading bay opposite the lock entrance.

Today the brick structure[part of the albion iron works] is hidden by trees.
