Veronica: What type of music did you most like dancing to and whose 6/8d singles did you buy, during The Sixties?

Mainly the American singers Philip. Elvis,the Everley Bothers, Bobby Vee,
Buddy Holly , Eddie Cochran and I quite liked Billy Fury though. Oh and Roy Orbison I was never much of a fan of The Beatles really. Too many to mention.

You certainly followed the best then, Veronica. A member of Elvis's entourage mentioned that Elvis was almost capable of hitting a 'Vincero' kind of note. I was also surprised when discovering that Billy Fury had bred budgerigars - I'm not sure if he had 'Showed' them, though. Thanks for your reply.

Elvis has certainly proved he was the best -great voice shame about the films! I think I bought Heartbreak Hotel out of my 'baby sitting' earnings! (5 shillings!)
