Could be the afternoon fish train from Fleetwood the smell of fish would linger for some time after the train had passed

a thing of beauty ,have a look on subterranean brittanica old disused stations site.has some great pics of boars head when it was useful and pristine.pride in the job ,from a lost world.

I remember the fish train that came through.

There use to be a 4 o clock fish and one later at 8
