Have you any idea of the location on Wigan Lane?
I'm wondering whereabouts precisely on Wigan lane this photograph was taken. The terrain appears to be perfectly level, and as we are all aware, there are very few sections of the lane that are absolutely flat with terraced properties lining the route. Could it possibly have been taken facing Marylebone park? Also, I feel obliged to admit that I wouldn't have felt inclined to get involved in an argument with the bloke who's job it was to hump those stone copings about.
The name on the shop window is WADSWORTH so if some enterprising member wants to check out the Trade Directories for that year ???????
