I used to watch the steam when the train was at Gathurst!!!
My Grandma &Grandad lived in this station house at Appley Bridge in the 60's to the late 70's. Many, many happy memories of visiting and watching grandma crossing the line to catch the train to Southport.
Was the man in the ticket office Maurice Radcliffe used to remember the coal stove he had ,used to do his breakfast on it.
