I WOULD GUESS 1950'S or 60'S
Ron,my Dad was the projectionist at Wigan Little Theatre many moons ago in the 1930's,I wonder if anyone has a photo of him then...I doubt it really,but it would be lovely if they had.

When the the projector malfunctioned, I bet your Dad would hear "Put a shilling in the meter" shouted!! LOL
Giovanni,I bet he did..that's where he met my Mam,she had
been visiting a relative who only lived across the way and asked to take some dinner to him,she was sixteen and my Dad was nineteen..and that was it they fell in love. ahhhhh.
My Mother was the last cashier at Gidlow cinema,she knew Norman but never knew his surname,the last picture shown was "Bridge on the River Kwai",Cant remember when it closed but it was in the later half of the sixties.
His name was Norman liptrot he went to new Zealand were he died his assistant at one time was Graham lynn who lives in Blackpool my mother was a cleaner there
