Hi Julie, I think I remember Walter Bateman, I am sure he used to bring a corgi dog in the pub with him, he lived in the row of houses overlooing Aspull Moor, not far from the shops.

Phil my grandad used to bring a corgi dog in the running horses and he always wore o trilbie hat and he lived on st marys road do you remember him?

Yes, Julie, I'm sure we are talking anout the same person, Walt was a very friendly person who had time for everyone, he would have a joke or two, his dog had the same calm cool nature too!
