I used to work with Freddie's lad Fred jnr who has a gym in Leigh.
Freddie is 2nd left
think the lad on the right was the gym owner or manager, think he was called Ken and his Dad/Dad in law is the one at the front with the beige jacket
freddie front left with tash used to have Queens pub in platt bridge
I played football for CWS in Platt Bridge with Fred jar and we used to meet up in the Queens before games. He liked motorbikes if I recall
Freddie's gym was in his parents garden in lower ince. It was called "the shed" because that's what it really was. Me and my best mate Alan dutton used to pump iron in there 3 nights every week, freddie and his wife Betty got the conquering hero pub, smashing boozer, nice people, happy memories
By the way, I am talking about the late 1960s.long before Fred moved to the Queens

Hi Stephen, yes, John and Graham are my 2 youngest brothers, there were 7 off us, George (in Australia) our only sister Janet, and my elder brothers Brian and Mark
Jimmy,I was in the same class as Graham throughout Ince Central and Rose Bridge and John was in the year above us. John was the sporting hero for just about all of us in our school days and I was a Leigh fan during Johns time there. Please pass on my best wishes to Graham and John(Stephen Price). Didn't realise at the time what a great place Ince was to grow up.
Hi Stephen, consider it done, and yes, Ince was a great place to grow up
I remember the Taylor family well. John shares my birthday but is a year younger than me and I remember Graham. I didn't know the older ones as well but remember them. I think they had a dog, Bonzo, unless I am thinking of another family, (the mind plays tricks after so many years!)
Jimmy, would you add my good wishes on too, please?
Hi Irene,i am amazed you remember our old dog bongo.when he died my dad brought a puppy home from Irlam steelworks for my birthday.he was a great dog,a boxer lab. I called him rebel
Hello Jimmy; I remember Rebel too. You leave those back streets of Ince but they never leave YOU! Don't forget to pass on my good wishes to Graham and John, who I remenber best, but love to ALL your family. Irene.
Hiya Jimmy,
Rebel Taylor was a famous Ince dog. I remember him well. He even gets a mention on the WW 'Ince Memories' thread!
